Size/Name Information

Before continuing on we highly suggest you have read over the relevant info on Muzzle Options or What Muzzles Will Fit, Especially if any sizing information is confusing to you.

These are the sizes each seller uses:

MTT: None

Leerburg: Size 20F

FDT: Size 20

D&T: Size 20

Europe Stores: None

The 21 and 20F are two of four sizes that aren't available from CHOPO, we can't work out where they get these sizes from so they are labelled CHOPO but are a FDT (or Leerburg F sizes) size only.

How It Could Fit

Length: This size works best with noses between 2.5” and 3.25”. Depending on your dog's length, you may need to modify your muzzles noseband. A smaller/bigger measurement will also work in some situations.

Width: This size usually works best with widths between 2.5” and 3.25”. This measurement is a bit more relaxed but wider is better than narrower. Most muzzles will need some amount of squishing over the nose, which is why width is more relaxed.

Muzzle Height: The 20F has a front height of 4.75”. We always size to a full pant or height accurate to a full pant. If measured correctly, this should fit well. Depending on use, sometimes it can be slightly over the measurement where full pant isn’t needed. It’s also fine to be slightly under the height too.

Other measurements: If your dog is on the shorter end of length, the chin length may end up being long, which usually needs different modifications. The only way to tell if this will be an ‘issue’ is to try the muzzle out, most of the time it still works good.

• If your dog is in between sizes we will likely give you two or more options. Please see the other links (if there’s any) for information on size.

Where & How To Purchase

Purchase Option 1/2

LEERBURG ‘POLYMER WIRE’ (US)

They are a US based company but do ship internationally (though not recommended due to high postage cost).

Do NOT follow their sizing or measurements. They are incorrect and incomplete.

BUY FROM LEERBURG

Purchase Option 2/2

FDT ‘M9/M10’ (WORLDWIDE)

Fordogtrainers aren't the best place to purchase from, though following below will help greatly in everything going well.

While their international shipping is okay, the cost is a little pricey and shipping is slower. Do NOT follow their sizing or measurements. They are incorrect and incomplete.

What to do for best outcome:

  1. Pick the model (M9/M10) and location you want

  2. Pick the size given on rec (1-30) *drop down may say ‘I will fill my dogs measurements’, click that to select size.*

  3. Do NOT give them any information like measurements, breed, size or age. They WILL size wrong and possibly refuse to refund.

  4. Use PayPal, using this ensures you have back up if they try to refuse a refund/exchange. They may also help with the return shipping fee.

  5. Once purchased it’s likely they will email/call you for your information, reply to ‘send the size you ordered’. They will send it.

Not following the above puts you at high risk of getting the wrong size and not being able to return it.
